Using Arts and Craft Therapy as a Self Healing Tool

Today, we gathered to explore the therapeutic value of creative expression. Fay shared insights into the healing power of clay making, highlighting its ability to help us process grief, as she reflected on an artist’s journey who turned to clay after losing a family member during Covid.
Mindful Making.

A dedicated carer also opened up about her struggles in advocating for her son with autism. She passionately expressed the frustrations of feeling unheard by professionals: "But Are They Listening to the Mother's Voice?" A powerful cry for help echoed through the room.

Others in the group shared their personal battles with mental health, discussing the challenges they faced and the triumphs they've achieved in promoting their independence. One member, in particular, spoke about their decision to move forward from relying on "MIND" and embrace their newfound strength:

"I have made my recovery. It's time for me to move on and leave the space for someone else!"
